There’s a small island in the middle of Bangkok known as Bang Kachao, otherwise known as the Green Lung. It’s an oasis amidst a bustling city, full of life and fresh air… a step away from the madness. Our goal is to be such a place to those who come through our doors. To offer a haven to the artists who so beautifully showcase their souls to the world while also offering an inspiring experience to the onlookers who come to partake. Our studio began in October 2019 in Gowanus.

Located in the historic neighborhood of Red Hook in Brooklyn, New York, Green Lung Studio offers production spaces for rent and in house crew services. Designed for versatility, the spaces transform into a myriad of possibility. Our team consists of working filmmakers and artists that bring their years of experience and flexibility to every production. In addition to rentals, Green Lung Studio is committed to showcase work from artists of all mediums with our curated events and workshops. This is the heartbeat of the space, to create a home for artists to the best of our capabilities.

TEAM

Amanda Carmona | Production Design, Painter, Co-Founder.

Amanda is a multidisciplinary creative who thrives on bringing ideas to life from concept through full-scale execution. Trained in fashion design, she has built a career in production design, specializing in large-scale builds, handcrafted props, and immersive environments. She is drawn to ambitious projects, inventive problem-solving, and the collaborative process of turning a vision into something truly special.

As a co-founder of Green Lung Studio, Amanda extends this practice into a community-centered space dedicated to experimentation, performance, and collective making. Her vision for Green Lung is rooted in accessibility, creative exchange, and supporting artists across disciplines by providing space, resources, and room to take risks. As a painter and maker, Amanda brings the same instinctive curiosity to her studio practice—working with color, form, and texture to build intimate worlds on canvas and through handcrafted objects. Her artwork echoes the emotional depth and material play found in her design work, forming a cohesive creative language that moves fluidly across disciplines.
